Testimonials

What parents say.

A few words from parents whose children have been or are currently being tutored.

★★★★★
“Our daughter really enjoyed the sessions and found Finley friendly, patient and easy to understand. He explained everything really clearly and always took the time to make sure she understood what they were working through. Over time, we saw a noticeable improvement in not just her grades but also her confidence. She felt so much more confident going into her lessons and eventually her GCSEs - a really nice feeling as a parent. We would highly recommend Finley to anyone looking for a tutor.”
— Laura McShane, parent of a Year 11 student
★★★★★
“Finley has been tutoring my son Lucas for 5 months. During this time he had built a great rapport with Lucas and I have seen a much greater level of engagement. Finley is patient and knowledgeable. His resources and knowledge of exam questions are extensive. I would happily recommend him to anyone looking to increase their child's confidence.”
— Elaine Leaver, parent of a Year 10/11 student
★★★★★
“We have been really impressed with Finley as a maths tutor. He engages brilliantly with my son on his level and has a great way of keeping him focused and engaged with the task. We have been pleased to see the progress my son is making and his growing confidence in maths. Finley also keeps an excellent tracker of the topics covered, which gives us a clear picture of his progress and the areas he is working on. We genuinely feel that, with Finley's support, our son is in a good position to do well in his Maths GCSE next year. Highly recommend”

About your tutor

Finley Soler-Gomez

I specialise in GCSE mathematics, working with students in Years 9 to 11 across all grades and both Foundation and Higher tiers — from building confidence with the fundamentals to pushing for the very top grades.

Every student is different, so every plan is different: Each student has their own tracker - based on exam board, course level and their grade - which will constantly be updated helping me to finely tune each session to suit your child's needs.

In May 2025, I acheieved the highest grade (Grade 7) in International Baccalaureate Mathemathics and have a complete understanding across all GCSE mathematics topics for all exam boards.
